What the lot actually does

A dealer who publishes prices but not outcomes is asking you to take his word for it. This page is the outcome: what our stock fetches, how long it takes to move, what we spend putting cars right, and which segments sit.

Asking-price index

BASE 100 · JANUARY

The index tracks our own asking prices across the whole lot, weighted by days listed. It is recalculated from closed months on the first business day of each month — and never revised upwards after the fact.

MEDIAN DAYS

Median days between listing and cleared funds. Performance cars take more than twice as long as trucks, which is why we do not over-stock them.

Reconditioning spend

% OF WORK ORDER VALUE

Every unit goes through the bay. Powertrain and brakes absorb most of the money — cosmetically rough cars are cheaper to buy and we would rather spend on the parts that keep you moving.

How to read this page

METHOD

  • NOTE-01

    These are our own numbers

Everything on this page is calculated from our purchase, reconditioning and sale journal — not scraped from a listing aggregator, and not smoothed to look tidy.

  • NOTE-02

    Updated monthly

The series are recalculated on the first business day of each month from the closed month. Sold units stay published so the index cannot be quietly revised upwards.

  • NOTE-03

Read the index, not the sticker

The price index tracks what our stock actually fetches. When it drops, our asking prices drop; when it climbs, we tell you that too.
