This statement describes what we have built, what we have checked, and where we know the site still falls short.
It is deliberately specific. A statement that claims perfect accessibility tells you nothing; ours names the limitations and gives you a route to ask for something different.
Our Commitment
TORQUE ALLEY MOTORS LLC wants this site usable by everyone who might buy a car, sell a car or book workshop time with us.
Accessibility is treated here as part of the build, not as a remediation project: the site is keyboard operable, high contrast, free of forms, free of timed content and free of animation that cannot be switched off.
Conformance Target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at Level AA across this website, including its inventory listings, generated images and documents.
The guidelines are a standard, not a certificate. Where we know we fall short, the known limitations section below says so plainly rather than claiming full conformance.
Measures We Take
Semantic HTML headings and landmarks on every page, with one main heading and a skip link to the content.
Text colour contrast checked against the dark background, with body text above the AA threshold rather than at the boundary.
A visible focus indicator on every focusable element, and no element that traps keyboard focus.
Real alt text on every image, including the generated measurement plates, which describe the data the graphic shows.
No autoplaying media, no carousels, no modal dialogs and no content that moves without being asked to move.
Motion reduced or removed entirely when your system requests reduced motion.
Visual Design
The site uses a dark interface with a monospaced typeface. Text sizes are set in relative units, so browser zoom and system font scaling work as expected, and the layout reflows without horizontal scrolling on narrow screens.
Colour is never the only way information is conveyed: condition scores are printed as numbers, defect severities carry words, and pass and fail states are labelled in text.
Decorative overlays such as the faint scanline texture sit behind content, do not reduce contrast below the AA threshold, and are ignored by assistive technology.
Text Alternatives for Generated Images
Images on this site are generated data graphics rather than photographs. Each one carries alternative text naming the vehicle and the measurements it displays.
The same values are always available as text on the page itself: power, torque, mileage, condition scores, defects and service history are published as data, not only as a chart.
No Forms and No Timed Content
This site contains no forms, no fields and no validation to navigate. Contact happens by telephone, email or in person, which removes an entire class of accessibility failure.
Nothing on the site expires, times out or requires an action within a time limit, and there is no session to lose.
Known Limitations
The schematic map on the contact page is a drawing with a text description beneath it. It conveys relative position and street names, but it is not a substitute for a routing service with turn-by-turn instructions.
Charts are drawn as scalable vector graphics with descriptive labels and alternative text. A screen reader user gets the values as text, but cannot explore a curve point by point.
Documents we email, such as a scanned prior invoice, may be images of paper rather than tagged text. Tell us and we will read the relevant figures to you or type them out.
Requesting an Accommodation
If you need information from this site in another format, or help completing a purchase, a trade-in or a service booking, contact us and say what would work for you.
We can read a listing or an inspection sheet to you by telephone, send figures as plain text instead of a chart, arrange a longer appointment with more time in the bay, or meet you at the vehicle rather than in the office.
Enforcement and Applicable Law
Federal disability law, including Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Florida Civil Rights Act prohibit discrimination in places of public accommodation, and we aim to meet the accessibility expectations those laws express well in advance of any complaint.
This statement describes our own practice and targets. It is not an admission about the state of any particular legal standard or about liability for any particular page.
If you believe we have fallen short, tell us first. We will investigate, respond in writing, and fix what we can.
How to Contact Us
Accessibility requests and reports of a barrier can be sent by email or telephone, using the contact details in the panel below, with the page and a description of what you were trying to do.
We answer accessibility correspondence within four business hours during shop hours, and we treat it as a defect report rather than a complaint.
